The WLCI experience has a uniquely global character, offering students the opportunity of benefitting from a global curriculum, international inputs and interaction with faculty and students from around the world. The objective is to expose the students to global learning environments. This offers them the benefit of a cross-cultural experience, deepening their understanding and knowledge.

A key advantage of studying in WLCI is the option it provides to students to study abroad. WLCI follows the UK system of education, widely accepted in universities across the world including in USA, Australia, Canada and South-east Asia.

Study Options
All students of WLCI are offered the option of completing their studies in UK. This provides them with the added advantage of having access to global education.

WLCI offers three options to its students:

• Students can complete their chosen academic programme in any WLCI campus in India, leading them to career paths in the industry within the country.
• Students can complete the last semester of their undergraduate/postgraduate courses in Wigan & Leigh College in UK.
• Students may complete the third year at UK to obtain a Bachelors’ degree at affiliated universities such as the University of Huddersfield, the University of Central Lancashire in UK and several others.

The WLCI Global Scholar UK Scholarships
Wigan & Leigh College UK offers scholarships to the Postgraduate and Undergraduate students of WLCI. The scholarship allows the student to complete the last semester in UK. A Selection Committee awards scholarships to two meritorious students in each school. This is open to all students across India. The scholarships offered are:

• 100% waiver on the UK tuition fee
• 30% waiver on the UK tuition fee

Note: Post Graduate students of the School of Creative Arts (Fashion, Design, Media) are not eligible for the above scholarships.

Credit transfers to other Universities:The academic credits taken by students in our courses can be transferred to universities abroad, thus facilitating further study. WLCI qualifications are validated around the world. Students from WLCI have transferred their credits and successfully pursued their studies in internationally reputed universities.

Students completing the Advanced Diploma programme can apply for credit transfers to the Bachelors programmes offered by various universities in UK, USA and Australia. Our alumni have transferred credits to pursue degree programmes in leading Universities/ Colleges such as:

Fashion Institute of Technology, New York; Parsons, New York; Boston School of Art & Design; London College of Fashion; University of Manchester; University of Sunderland; University of Huddersfield; University of Central Lancashire; Kent University; University of Singapore; Coventry University; Cavendish University; Fashion College Italy; University of Waitato, Australia; University of Luton St. Martins, UK; University of Perth, Australia and National Institute of Design (NID), India.

Students may complete their Bachelors’ degree programme in UK. All transfers to UK are subject to acceptance by the concerned college/university as well as visa clearance

If a student is interested in applying for credit transfers, he/she can obtain further information along with the required application form from the Student Relations Office. Applications are normally due on May 1 for the session expected to begin in September and on September 1 for the January session.
