Post Graduate Programme in Mass Communication
The Media scene in India has changed dramatically over the past five years ushering in an age of mushrooming television channels, a plethora of print and e-magazines, newspapers and privatised radio channels. This has led to a growing demand in the Media Industry for professionally trained creative persons. Media is today one of the most coveted career paths for young college graduates. The Media School at WLCI offers a two-year Post Graduate Programme in Mass Communication which trains graduates from any discipline in the Media Industry. This course offers the opportunity to study the media at the advanced level, examining a range of contemporary media issues and develop specialist skills within the Media in their last semester. Our students will learn through lectures and tutorials and receive hands-on training in varied areas from leading Media professionals in print, radio and television production.
Course Aims
The course is monitored and fine-tuned to meet the requirements of a dynamic Media Industry. Students are given Internships with leading national newspapers, television channels, and production houses to provide them with a variety of career opportunities. These internships help wean them into the increasingly competitive world of Media. Visiting faculty conduct technical and creative workshops.

Assessment:
All units combine workshops, tutorials and projects and are assessed depending on the nature of the project. At the end of the semester, the units will also be assessed by time-bound assessment.
