This Postgraduate Diploma Programme puts strong emphasis on trends, forecasting, pattern cutting, garment analysis and product range development. It provides a fully integrated vocationally-oriented programme of study, geared to training budding fashion designers with the skills that are in demand within the fashion Industry.

This course enables the graduating designer to perform competitively within the international fashion industry. The combines a creative and intellectual approach to visually-led design innovation with strong theoretical and practical elements.

Course Aims

The course is designed to broaden existing knowledge and to give the necessary experience to work within the fashion Industry at the highest level. It stimulates imagination and creativity with the support of an informed knowledge base of the Industry. The course has multi disciplinary approach which trains student for various specialized career options.

The course concentrates on fashion design, range planning, colour / fabric and trend development, creative pattern interpretation and fashion business studies with marketing. A strong historical and contemporary cultural perspective underpins the study of fashion and lifestyle. Practical skills are integrated with theory from the very beginning of the course. Students are encourage to adopt a critical approach to concept development and designing. Their expertise culminates in the final correction which is showcased in Fashion Show at the end of their course.
