Advanced Diploma in Fashion Technology, ADFT
In the three-year programme extensive practical experience is gained through live projects that integrate theory and practice and develop intuitive understanding of fashion direction and commerce. The students gain the ability to develop commercial solutions via creative, yet sustainable concepts.
This course offers students a unique opportunity to explore the relationship between creativity and contemporary technology – concept, context and realization. Students work within a highly specialized curriculum, with opportunities to collaborate and learn from others within each of the pathways.
Course Aims
The course aims to provide experience, skills and understanding to fulfil creative and intellectual potential of the student, balance imaginative visual ideas with commercial and professional considerations,understand the nature of and the relationship between different roles within the fashion Industry. It also provides an understanding of the historical, social and economic contexts which influence fashion design.
The philosophy is to provide a learning environment in which innovation, invention and originality can be developed within a range of different but closely related fashion paths.
A high percentage of the graduates gain employment in the Industry or progress to postgraduate studies.

Assessment:
